What to expect in the 2025 - 2027 exams!

Students taking exams in 2025, 2026 and 2027 will not be expected to recall all the usual formulae and equations in GCSE mathematics (you can read the full article here).

What does this mean?

This means that students will be given a formulae sheet as they have been in recent years.

My top tip- Print a copy of the formulae sheet and start using it now!

• Stick in your Maths book, pin it to your wall, or in your revision folder.

• You don’t need to memorise them, but.... you do need to know where to find them, what they are for, and how to use them!

These formulae taken from the exam aid is slightly different to how I and many other (most if not all) Maths teachers teach it.

You’re likely to have been taught using these-

Which isn’t a huge difference. But could throw you in the exam, especially if it’s the first time you’ve seen the formula sheet!
